Attendance

Attendance management, from the daily register to the early warning

Mark the register by class and section, let staff check themselves in, and correct from the office when a teacher cannot. What makes it worth the five minutes is what comes after: attendance is the earliest signal that a student is drifting away, and iSkooll watches it against thresholds you set.

What you get

  • By class and section

Mark a section's register in one pass, on the working days you defined — not on the days your institution is closed.

  • Staff check-in, with an office override

Teachers and staff check in for themselves, and the office can correct a day without waiting for whoever was absent to come back and do it.

  • An early warning you configure

At-risk detection runs on your own thresholds, so a student who has started slipping is surfaced while it is still recoverable.

  • Guardians can see it themselves

Each guardian signs in and sees their own child's attendance, which answers the question before the office has to field the phone call.

  • Reports built from the register

Attendance reports read the same records the register wrote, so a report and a register cannot drift apart.

  • Corrections are audited

A changed attendance mark is an audited change, recorded with who made it and when.

How it works

  1. Set your working week

Choose your weekly off days. Attendance, routines and reports skip them instead of marking a whole institution absent twice a week.

  2. Mark the register

Take attendance by class and section each day. Staff check in for themselves, from any phone with a browser.

  3. Set the thresholds that matter

Decide what counts as at risk for your institution, and let iSkooll surface the students crossing it.

  4. Let guardians look

Guardians read their own child's attendance in the portal, which is usually the intervention that actually works.

Questions people ask

Can a teacher take attendance on a phone?

Yes, in the browser. iSkooll runs in any phone browser, so a section can be marked from the classroom with nothing to install.

Does it understand a Friday–Saturday weekend?

Yes, and you set the off days yourself. Attendance, routines and reports skip them rather than marking the whole institution absent.

Can the office fix a day a teacher got wrong?

Yes. The office can override a day, and the correction is written to the audit log with the name of whoever made it.

Does it tell us before a student drops out?

It flags students crossing the at-risk thresholds you set, on attendance and results. It is an early warning rather than a prediction, and what the institution does with it is the part that decides the outcome.

Do guardians get an SMS when a child is absent?

Not yet. Guardians see attendance in the portal when they sign in. SMS sending is not switched on in iSkooll.
