Add-on

A question bank your teachers build, and the papers that come out of it

A reviewed pool of questions that teachers contribute to and a moderator approves, and question papers assembled from it rather than retyped each term. This is a paid add-on: it is not part of a standard account, and a newly registered institution does not have it.

This is a paid add-on rather than part of a standard account: a newly registered institution does not have it on day one. Ask us to enable it, and see the Question Bank price list for what it costs.

What you get

  • Questions teachers contribute

The people who set the papers build the pool, so it reflects what your institution actually teaches rather than a generic syllabus.

  • Moderation before use

Contributions are reviewed before they reach the pool, which is the difference between a question bank and a pile of questions.

  • Papers assembled, not retyped

Build a paper from the approved pool instead of starting a blank document every term.

  • It grows with each exam

Every term adds to the pool rather than leaving the work in somebody's personal folder when they move on.

  • Separate permissions

Reading, writing and moderating the bank are distinct permissions, so contributing to it and approving for it need not be the same person.

  • Priced on its own

The add-on has its own published plans, so you can judge whether it is worth it separately from the rest of the system.

How it works

  1. Ask us to enable it

The Question Bank is granted per institution. It is not on by default and cannot be switched on from inside your account.

  2. Decide who contributes and who moderates

Reading, writing and moderating are separate permissions you assign to the roles that should hold them.

  3. Build the pool

Teachers add questions against your own subjects and classes; a moderator approves what enters the pool.

  4. Assemble the papers

Draw a question paper from the approved pool when the exam comes round.

Questions people ask

Is the question bank included in a standard account?

No. It is a paid add-on granted per institution, and a newly registered institution does not have it on the day it registers.

What does it cost?

It has its own published plans, separate from the per-student subscription. The current plans are listed inside the product; ask us and we will point you at the figures.

Who can add questions?

Whoever you give the permission to. Reading, writing and moderating the bank are three separate permissions, so a teacher can contribute without being able to approve.

Does it come with questions already in it?

The value of the bank is that it is yours — your subjects, your classes, your teachers' questions. Treat it as a pool you build rather than a library you receive.

Can we try the rest of iSkooll without it?

Yes, and most institutions do. Everything else on the features pages is part of a standard account; this one is the exception, which is why it says so at the top.
